Let’s look at the first objection to speaking in other tongues. 1. Speaking in tongues is of the devil. People would say something like, “Those people aren’t speaking in tongues, they are speaking in demonic gibberish. Some demon gets on them and rants and raves.” Some may even go so far as to say, “You are demon possessed.” These folks believe this experience passed away when the writing of the bible was completed. Man’s OPINION that tongues are of the devil has no scriptural basis whatsoever. My grandmother believed that way.
