The “tongues is of the devil” actually has a Scriptural answer for that deception. If someone you know has this problem, you can open the Word and have a discourse with them. They may want to be filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues but are afraid to respond to an altar call where hands will be laid on them. they are nervous, fearing maybe they will get a demon or maybe the devil will take advantage of them. In the Scripture Jesus gave an answer that will dispel all fear and apprehension.
