Luke 11:12-13; “Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?” I believe that in this passage of Scripture, Jesus is personally guaranteeing that you cannot ask for the Holy Spirit and receive a demon. Either it simply cannot happen or Jesus lied. I certainly do not believe Jesus lied and I am sure you don’t either. There is ABSOLUTELY no scriptural basis to support the objection that speaking in tongues is of the devil.
