When people hear that “tongues is of the devil,” over and over, they become frightened and nervous. they want to receive the Holy Ghost but are worried of receiving something that is not from God. When you meet people with this fear; read and explain Luke 11:9-13 to them. Jesus personally said that if you as for an egg, you will not get a scorpion. If you ask for bread, you will not get a stone. Accordingly if you ask for the Holy Spirit, you will not get a demon.
