The Word doesn’t single out “New Year’s” as a holiday, but it speaks directly to what the turn of a year is really about. Time, humility about the future, repentance, renewed obedience and hope. So, as we enter 2026 here are 5 things the Word says about the New Year. Take time to read the Scripture references. 1. There are seasons and times. (Ecclesiastes 3:1). 2. God makes things new. (2 Corinthians 21:5). 3. It is wise to set goals. (Proverbs 21:5). 4. Do not overpromise (Proverbs 27:1). 5. Pray instead of worry (1 Peter 5:7).
Yesterday’s trivia: Jesus’s body and blood.
FYI: Did you know most people give up resolutions after less than four months. According to a 2023 Forbes survey, just under 8% said their resolutions lasted a month, 21.9% reported two months. 22.2% reported three months, and 13.1% said their resolutions lasted four months, only 1% said they lasted for 11 or 12 months. But I believe that the Body of Christ will make a renewed commitment to the Word of God for 2026, and become doers instead of hearers!
Kathy and I DECREE YOU BLESSED IN JESUS NAME!
