Back to “flying by instruments.” Airline pilots have to go through flight training where they learn to fly strictly by the instruments. The instructors put the pilots inside simulators, and the pilots go through simulations in which they cannot see where they are going. They have to rely on those instruments. Any pilot who goes through this training can tell you that his first session in one of these simulations is weird. He will tell you that the moment you cannot see anything you lose points of reference, and it is a very peculiar feeling. We Christians need to learn to “fly by the instruments.” The Word is your instruction manual. It gives you all of your readings, all of your settings. If you follow it you will never” crack-up” in life. “Seeing is believing” is not true in things of God. It is actually “BELIEVING IS SEEING!” Is how the people of God need to live the God kind of life.
