In Matthew 22, Peter was in essence saying, “Give me permission to walk on the water Lord.” Matthew 14:29, Jesus answered, “Come, and when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.” Notice, Peter had DIVINE PERMISSION to walk on the water and he had the ABILITY to do so because of the spoken Word of Jesus. Peter walked on the water, That was a miracle. Matthew does not say that Peter TRIED to walk on the water. He says that Peter DID IT! If you can take five steps on the water, then you can continue on with 5,000! God’s Word working through you will change the circumstances.
