Peter doubted because his focus was on the elements. Where were these elements? IN THE REALM OF THE SENSES! Peter was captivated by sense knowledge evidence, and that evidence made him doubt that he could do what Jesus (the WORD) told him that he could do. When Peter began to focus on the “senses” he began to doubt the WORD of God, his faith, and fear entered in. Whenever you hear the WORD, faith is coming. At that point you have a choice. You can believe your senses or you can believe what the WORD of God says. God’s WORD working through you will change the circumstances, overcoming “true” with TRUTH!
