In reference to Numbers 13, the Israelites were now saying that God was so senile that He did not know the children of Israel could not take the land that He promised them! That is something! Twelve men (I like to refer to them as preachers) went out, and they all SAW the same thing…ten of them said , “We can’t do it,” and the MAJORITY won. The majority is not always right. Here was a case where a WHOLE NATION was deprived of the blessing that God wanted them to have, because 10 men (preachers) said, “We can’t do it. They are stronger than we are.” They were whipped and defeated by their own mouths. An “evil report? is a report of doubt.
