Read Matthew 12:22-34. The religious people who were teachers of God’s people begin to get jealous of Jesus. They did not like the fact that the spotlight was on Jesus and off of them. they were being shown up by Him, the new preacher in town. They especially did not like how people were being drawn to Jesus saying., “This must be the Messiah.” The religious leaders tried to deceive His followers by saying that what He was doing was by the power of satan. You and I both know that what Jesus did was done by the power of the Holy Ghost.
