So, objection #1 is “tongues is of the devil.” #2 objection, “tongues passed away.” Many believe that tongues passed away after the Bible was completed, and that tongues ceased after the apostles’ deaths. Thos who believe this objection acknowledge that believes once spoke in other tongues as a sign of supernatural occurrence in the Church while the bible was being written. then, once the Scriptures were completed, tongues were supposedly no longer needed.
