Another objection to speaking in other tongues is that “only the apostles could minster the infilling.” Again, this pre-supposes that all the apostles have died (not true). The assumption that speaking in tongues died out with the last apostle’s death carries much credence because no one else would seemingly have been able to minister the infilling of the Holy Ghost to those desiring Him. However, Acts 9 punches a big hole in that theory. In the beginning of Chapter 9, Saul was on a journey to arrest Christians. He was saved on the road to Damascus through a supernatural appearance of Jesus Christ. Jesus told Saul to go into the city and there he would be told what to do next. Saul arose and went to the city, but for three days he was blind and did not eat or drink.
