Another objection that people have to speaking in tongues is that “tongues shall cease.” Of course they will use a Scripture which is found in 1 Corinthians 13:8, “Charity never faileth: but where there be prophecies, they shall fall; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.” Of course I don’t disagree that “tongues shall cease,” but the question that has to be asked is, “When shall tongues cease?”
