Going to begin looking at some purposes for speaking in tongues. Did you know even though the Word teaches us not to “covet,” it also teaches that there are some things profitable to “covet.” 1 Corinthians 12:31, “But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.” Notice it says to “covet” these gifts. When you hear the word “covet” you probably think of it in a negative connotation. Paul is telling us to covet earnestly the best gifts. We should be coveting, or longing. for, the gifts which best suits our needs at any given moment.
