The Apostle Paul said in 2 Corinthians 12:11, “I will show you a better way.” The Lord desires to manifest Himself through ALL of the giftings listed in Corinthians. Even though tongues and interpretation of tongues are distinct to this dispensation, we need to desire to manifest the other seven listed as well. Prophecy means to speak under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit in an understood language to the hearers. There is forth telling of the mind of God, and then there is fore-telling or things to come to pass. Fore-telling comes under the ministry of the Prophets ministry, while we all may prophesy or “tell-forth” unto men to edification, exhortation or comfort as described in 1 Corinthians 14.
