1 Timothy 4:7,8,15, “But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. For bodily exercise profiteth little: but GODLINESS IS PROFITABLE UNTO ALL THINGS, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them: THAT THY PROFITING MAY APPEAR TO ALL.” So, Paul is saying that “godliness is profitable. If anything is profitable, it must have benefits and it pays off. There is profit in serving God. Living for god is NOT detrimental to a successful life. It is, “….profitable unto ALL THINGS.”
