Terrible traits were trained into Eli’s sons character to such an extent that God’s judgment came upon them, and they were removed from the scene in one day’s time. Because First Samuel 2:12 calls them “sons of Belial,” we know they obtained their horrible behavior from satan himself, who is the origination of the name “Belial.” Another name/characteristic of the enemy is “DRAGON,” it is used in Revelation 12:9 to depict him. It says, “And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the devil, and satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”
