There is a life that NOW IS, and there is a life that is TO COME To be real about it, I am more concerned about the life that now is than I am about the life that is to come. Because the life that “now is” is the life that I am living right now. Some people have the idea that God only promises us success and victory in the next life. Their basic attitude about the Christian walk boils down to something like this: “You can get saved in this life, all right, but after you’re saved that’s about it. You’re left to the mercy of the devil. You’re left to the mercy of the world. You can’t expect much in this life.”
