Matthew 6:13, “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” The Greek language more accurately reads, “…………but deliver us from the evil one.” We know that Jesus looked on the devil as the “evil one.” No one was more familiar with satan than Jesus; hence, it is important to us that Jesus, knowing the devil so well, would give him this label.
