In Ephesians 6:11, in putting on the whole armor of God, Paul told us believers to do some things before he ever told them to put on the armor. These things are found in Ephesians 4:25-31, PUT AWAY LYING (vs.25); SPEAK TRUTH WITH YOUR NEIGHBOR (vs. 25); BE ANGRY AND SIN NOT; DON’T LET THE SUN GO DOWN ON YOUR WRATH (vs. 26); GIVE NO PLACE TO THE DEVIL (Vs. 27); LET HIM WHO STOLE STEAL NO MORE (vs. 28); LET NO CORRUPT COMMUNICATION PROCEED OUT OF YOUR MOUTH (VS. 29); GRIEVE NOT THE HOLY SPIRIT (vs. 30); LET ALL BITTERNESS, WRATH, ANGER, CLAMOR, EVIL SPEAKING AND MALICE BE PUT AWAY FROM YOU (vs. 31). Pay attention, we are commanded to do those things PRIOR to putting on the armor of God!
