A drunkard will give you everything he has with total optimism that he can get more money or whatever he’s giving without any trouble at all. The person “drunk” in the Spirit is free to give whatever the Lord tells him to, not out of a false optimism, but in faith, knowing that God is his source. Christians who have never drunk of the Spirit of God are apt to keep themselves so rigid, so perfect, so exact that even when it comes time to praise God, they will look around to see who’s watching and are unable to praise freely.
