In 1 Timothy6:112, the word “FIGHT” is an interesting word. In the original Greek, it is the word ‘agon,’ which means “a contest,” or “a conflict.” It implies that there is an opponent and a struggle. If you are a Christian, you are in this conflict, whether you want to be or not. Notice that Paul says: “FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH.” We are not fighting ethnic groups, denominations or ministers. satan and demons are the enemy, but it is our faith that is up for grabs! The enemy is not interested in you or me. He is interested only in our faith. If he can separate us from our faith, he can defeat us. If we can keep our faith intact, we will defeat him.
