As we begin learning about “faith’s greatest enemies,” the number one would probably be “Ignorance of the Word of God.” It is say, yet tur, how many ignorant Christians there are, completely devoid of knowledge of the Word of God. Most know a little bit about salvation or being born-again, but beyond that they have little knowledge of the Word of God. Hosea 4:6, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge………….” Lack of knowledge is IGNORANT of the Word isn’t it? This is God speaking through Hosea and His estimate and indictment. Notice God did NOT say….”My people are destroyed because they did not go to Church.” He did NOT say, “My people are destroyed because they are not praying enough.” These things ultimately of course have something to do with your life, but that is not what God is talking about in Hosea 4:6.
