It would seem to me that once I found out that I am being destroyed for a lack of knowledge, it should inspire us to gain some knowledge, so that I will not be destroyed. If God is the One Who is trying to beat me up, He is doing Himself a disservice by telling me how to get out from under His beatings. 2 Timothy 2:15, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” The very fact that Paul says RIGHTLY DIVIDING means that you can WRONGLY divide if you do not study. The only reason you use rightly is to distinguish from wrongly.
