It is very clear from what God says in Hosea 4:6 that He does NOT want us destroyed. If it were God’s will for us to be destroyed, what destroys more than cancer? What destroys more than sickness and disease? What destroys more than poverty? Nothing. Some people have the mistaken idea that sickness and disease are the will of God, that sometimes God uses that to “perfect” us. They may say something like, “Well, God has some magnanimous purpose in mind when He afflicts us with sickness and disease. He is trying to make a better person out of us.” If that is true, then why would He tell me that I am BEING DESTROYED FOR A LACK OF KNOWLEDGE?
