Paul said in 2 Timothy 2:15, “…………a workman that needeth not to be ashamed.” The implication is that there are some workmen who will be ashamed. There are already workmen who are ashamed, who are beat down and defeated in life, and who do not have to be that way. Again, if you STUDY the Word, you will not be ashamed. If you do NOT study the Word, you are going to be ashamed…and your enemy is going to make you even more ashamed. He is going to put some pressure on your life. So, be a WORKMAN, not a vacationer, nor somebody who is on strike or taking a sabbatical.
