In 2 Timothy 3:16-17, the word “inspiration” is a very interesting word. To INSPIRE means, literally, “to breathe into.” To EXPIRE means to “breathe out.” To the best of my knowledge, when someone passes away to the other side, a lot of time the medical person in charge will say something like, “John Doe EXPIRED at 10:35pm.” He didn’t say that John Doe “died.” They quit moving, they weren’t breathing anymore. The life force that kept him going went out of them and never returned. Tomorrow we will look at what it means when we say, “God inspires” a man to write something.
