Acts 17:11, “These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.” For as long as I have been in ministry, I have made the statement along the lines of, “Check me out with the Word, and if I have made an error, please tell me so I can fix it.” But also remember that we need to have our experiences line up with the Word, not what we FEEL about it, or what so and so says about it. As a minister of the Gospel, I go to great lengths, to make sure what I am teaching/preaching is in accordance with the WRITTEN WORD OF GOD!
