In Matthew 4, the enemy used the same twist that he used with Adam. “Hath God said?” “Hath God said?” If the enemy can get you to QUESTION God’s Word, you immediately enter into the realm of DOUBT and UNBELIEF! The moment you do that, you become completely vulnerable. DO WHAT THE WORD SAYS! God has reasons for telling us what to do. He wants to keep you from getting messed up. The temptations of the enemy are designed to get you away from obeying the Word, and as you yield to it, it will get easier and easier to follow the temptation and harder and harder to admit your mistakes and get back with God. The temptations will come in many different packages (Mark 4) but you DO NOT have to yield to them.
