The enemy will try to get us to test God’s Word. There is a SUBTLE, but very important difference between testing God’s Word and PROVING God’s Word. Proving God’s Word is when you want to show that it is TRUE. You have some idea what the result will be, because you are taking the Word at face value, but you want those results to manifest in your life and circumstances. TESTING God’s Word, on the other hand is when you do not know whether or not it will work, and you go in with an attitude of, “Well, maybe it’s fish and maybe it’s fowl, maybe it’s something and maybe it isn’t. You should not test God, because God does not need to be tested. He is ABSOLUTE!
