1 John 5:14, “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.” So, lets look at some word meanings because they are so vitally important. What does CONFIDENCE mean? How about “assurance” that when you have confidence in somebody, you can trust him or depend on him. How about ANYTHING simplistically it means “all.” I wonder how many Christians have NEVER been taught that they need to pray according to the Will of God? No wonder so many “prayers” are not answered. The bottom line is that we don’t receive what we ask for because we aren’t praying right. We depend on our ‘sincerity.’ Many people make the mistake because they think God hears them because they are sincere.
