1 John 5:15, “And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.” For God to hear us is the same as for God to give it to us. Can you see that? If God heard us, we have it! If God did not hear us we don’t have it and we will not get it. Too many times, Christians have been taught to end their prayers with the phrase, “If it be thy will.” They do not realize that “IF it be Thy will” in that context is a statement of unbelief. when you say, “If it be Thy will,” that means that you do not KNOW what His will is. “If it be Thy will,” erases the whole prayer. We are not praying in faith, but in we are praying in doubt.
